NES - Group Shoot for March

We have had a large response to our previous two group shoots, and made a lot of new friends and contacts in the industry for everyone involved. In order to provide an better overall experience for everyone who attends, we are no longer making the event free to attend. The ticket prices are nominal though, as what you get by attending is worth so much more.

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
We have limited parking in the studio lot, which will be reserved for photographers and stylists who will be utilizing the freight elevator to bring up equipment. There is parking on the street as well as two parking lots within walking distance of the studio which feature free parking on the weekends.
What can/can't I bring to the event?
Only photographers and New England Studio staff are authorized to take pictures during the event. Anyone caught using a cell phone or some other device to take pictures of themselves or another person who is not authorized to do so may be asked to leave the event. No refund will be issued. If you would like to get a picture taken, there will be plenty of opportunities, and at the very least just find a staff member, we will be happy to take a picture for you.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
You are not required to print your ticket, we have a list of all attendees and we will be making badges for you to wear during the day that are color coded for your ticket type and list your ticket type and your name. If you wish to have a name different than your legal name printed on the badge, please let us know at least two days before the event.
What is the refund policy?
You are welcome to a refund should the event not happen due to weather or something else beyond everyone's control. If you will not be able to attend and desire a refund, you must let us know by 3/16/13, as we will no longer issue refunds after that date unless the event itself does not happen.
How soon will I see my pictures after the event?
Pictures taken by studio staff will be available after the event is over, as we will upload them to Dropbox and send all attendees a link to the folder. Shots from photographers will become available via Dropbox and Facebook as they are done being edited. Due to differing skill levels and the fact that most photographers have prior obligations such as work and family, this may take a while. You will most likely see at least some of your shots within the first week after the event.
Can I bring a friend?
Yes, however we ask all who will be attending to register a ticket. By fire code, we have a max capacity for the studio which is reflected in the number of tickets available. Too many unregistered guests and not only will it be crowded, but potentially dangerous and very difficult for everyone to work around the extra people.
I am a model, what should I bring?
You can come with make-up on, however we will have make-up artists and you may have to clean existing make-up off prior to a shoot so new make-up may be applied. Regarding outfits, bring one that reflects your personal style and one that either matches the theme of the event or is representative of a genre you have always wanted to model.
I am a photographer, what should I bring?
The studio has several flourescent soft-boxes, a set of strobes that can be slaved to a camera, and some additional halogen and area lighting. We recommend that if you intend to bring your own lights, you should also bring stands for those lights. If possible, do not use a remote trigger for strobes as there will be signal crossover from other remotes. If you have to bring one, try to make it a remote capable of using different frequencies and let us know beforehand the range so we can cooridinate all of the remote settings before the event.
I am a wardrobe stylist, what should I bring?
Each wardrobe stylist will have a four foot wide clothing rack and a 2x4 foot folding table to display their inventory on. The studio does have a large ironing board and steam iron, however if you wish to bring your own go ahead.
I am a make-up artist, what should I bring?
Each make-up artist will bring their own kit. Depending on the theme of the event, additional make-up supplies may be present at the studio such as latex, silicon, blood capsules, et cetera.
I am a hair stylist, what should I bring?
Depending on the theme, wigs and/or bald caps may be provided by the studio. We have a flat iron and straightener, however we suggest bringing the equipment you are accustomed to using.
Is food provided? What about drinks?
We will have water bottles and small snacks available for everyone. There will also be prepared food that may be purchased as lunch if you do not wish to leave the event to go to a nearby restaurant. We also have a kitchen available if you wish to bring or cook your own food, however space is limited so please let us know before hand so we can make sure we fit it into the days schedule. If you have allergies or special dietary needs, let us know before the event.
